Anachronology

So, in Valencia and Madrid, the Christmas season had begun the last weekend in November.  Here in Bulgaria, we just celebrated American Thanksgiving (Canadian Thanksgiving was last month) today.  So I'm going to write about our ACS Thanksgiving celebration first, then I will include the images from Spain in my Christmas posts later on.
The tradition at ACS is that the international staff cooks and serves Thanksgiving dinner for the Bulgarian staff.  They will recipricate at the St. George's party in May.  We all joined together at about noon today to begin the process of cooking dinner for 150 people in our school cafeteria.  We served turkeys, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet and savory sweet potatoes, green beans, and (my part of the job - team dessert with Brett, Betsy and Tom) banana cream pie, pumpkin pie, and apple crisp.  As you can see, it was quite an event!
