Romeo and Juliet

When visiting Verona, every English teacher feels obligated to visit La Casa di Giulietta: the famous balcony where she pined for Romeo, and of course, the statue where legend has it, if you rub certain body parts, you'll be rewarded with good luck.


What I loved most about visiting this sight, however, is the entrance to the property. Every inch of space is covered with love graffiti:

I was even lucky enough to catch someone in the act of adding to the messages:

Though historically more accurate, the house of Romeo is far less popular and far more simple:
